25 Years of Motion Pictures
PicDrift grew out of motion and storytelling.

The journey for me began at eighteen, shooting news and documentaries, then loading film on Hollywood productions. From there came years as a Camera Operator working on projects including:

A Dog’s Purpose (Universal / Amblin)
Heaven Is for Real (Sony / TriStar)
Nobody (Universal)
Flag Day (MGM)

That foundation shaped what PicDrift was to become.

While producing independent projects, I saw an opportunity to bring still photos to life through movement. This led to the development of a consistent 2.5D photo animation method and later to 3DX, a three axis movement system.

For more than a decade, PicDrift has provided motion for thousands of projects worldwide, creating photo animation for documentaries, broadcast television, and major global events. These include the Summer Olympics, the FIFA World Cup, and numerous productions for the History Channel, including The Curse of Oak Island.

Today, PicDrift is evolving into a new form of photo to photo movement designed to connect content and create continuity in feeds.
From film sets to social feeds, the mission remains the same:

Create movement that helps tell the story.
