PicDrift artist breakdown:

When the photograph is well taken like this one, it really simplifies the process of cutting it into layers. The depth of the shot and multiple layers is perfect for parallax movement.

I decided to cut the front flowers into two separate layers to get a more noticeable parallax effect. I put the main subject of a couple holding hands in the middle, and separated the back flowers and the sky.

The thing that really captures the viewers' attention and brings the parallax effect to the next level is the floating flowers. I cut out a dozen different flower petals into separate layers and import them into a 3D Particle Generator. The Particle Generator has an option of importing custom layers and spreading them out in X, Y, and Z-axis. The main challenge was to decide how many flowers to generate, and to put them in such a way to have some passing really close to the camera and some behind the main subject. This was ideally done without any of the flowers covering the people's faces.

A lateral camera move added to the depth and made the animation complete.
